August GT Training

August 12, 2004

In August, Goodbye Graffiti certified three new GTs. Jeremy is an apprentice for the Vancouver operation, Anna Maddison is General Manager of Goodbye Graffiti Inc., and Etienne Brown is owner and General Manager of the soon-to-open Goodbye Graffiti Ottawa operation.

GT Training consists of up to 160 hours of rigorous study and field experience. The training covers every aspect of a GT's duties, responsibilities, and conduct including substrate classification and protection, equipment operation and care, marker identification, product use, protection of the public, and professionalism and ethics. The GT training's primary and constant emphasis is the maintenance of personal and public safety and vigilant environmental stewardship. Field training includes extensive use of GR vehicles and products at Goodbye Graffiti's Vancouver training and test facility.

Anna, Etienne, and Jeremy all passed the GT certification course with high marks. Anna's extensive involvement with company development allowed her to pose challenging questions to Goodbye Graffiti's Corporate GT Trainer Greg.

Said Anna: "Being a GT is as mentally challenging as it is physically. A GT is always thinking and always improving, always trying to better fill the role. It's a great job because no two days are ever the same."
